Corrections and factual disputes
If something on the site is wrong, we want to fix it. Please include the URL of the page, the sentence or figure you believe is incorrect, and — if you have one — the source that contradicts it. A manufacturer datasheet, a standards reference, or a photograph from a real installation all help us act quickly. We aim to acknowledge corrections within three business days and to publish substantive corrections with a dated note on the article.

Story suggestions, questions about our methods, requests for comment, and licensing requests for our illustrations all go here. If you are a contractor, engineer or supplier and you think a detail in one of our guides does not reflect practice in your region, we would genuinely like to hear it — regional variation is one of the hardest things to write about accurately.
Advertising and partnerships
We accept display advertising and affiliate partnerships. We do not accept sponsored articles, paid product placement inside editorial comparisons, or any arrangement that gives a commercial partner influence over what we write. Please read our disclosure before pitching — it will save us both time if your proposal is one we cannot take.

Before you email about a project
We are a publisher, not a contractor, and we cannot design your patio, price your job or tell you whether a specific quote is fair. Our guides explain the principles and give typical ranges; a local contractor who has seen the site is the only person who can price it properly. If you tell us your region and the problem, we can often point you to the guide that covers it.
What we cannot help with
- Quotes, estimates or design work for an individual property.
- Disputes with a contractor — we are not a mediation or complaints service.
- Product warranty claims; those go to the manufacturer.
- Requests to remove an accurate but unflattering mention of a product.
